In this day and age where technology and connectivity is very advanced as it was ten years ago, many people feel more isolated than ever.
This feeling of isolation is mainly because we no longer need to physically interact with others to find our entertainment. We can just turn on the TV or log into our favorite social networking site and chat with "friends" from other cities or states. We can text people who use our phones while we drive on the road. We can play computer games to virtual reality with people from almost every country in the world, and all this in real time. In essence, we can make "connections" with others, without ever being physically present.
This is in sharp contrast to the first time that such a link, the time when we were closer to our local community and our extended family. But we still feel that we belong to something real, something closer to a physical contact. This is a basic human need.
That's why there is a great opportunity when it comes to teamwork in the workplace. Although fewer people are contact "real" outside the workplace, you can really work to find it. If the company takes proactive measures to transform their culture "that supports a culture of teamwork," the employees to satisfy their natural need for physical companionship and camaraderie, and the business is likely to increase productivity.
Why teamwork is important for employees and for the company:
First Teamwork-enabled environments lead to a feeling of "family". In our fast-paced world that are no longer many of us rely on our extended family, and these relations are simply nonexistent.
A second culture of teamwork can helped restore a sense of the modern world almost destroyed. This basic need for human contact can be satisfied.
3. Increases efficiency and improves the competitiveness of the company. The increased level of communication leads to less duplication of effort within the company.
4. A positive culture of teamwork leads to increased productivity and profitability. Increased global competitiveness, is more important than ever that we will have to increase productivity. The old saying "Two heads are better than one" is important here. When two people are together, the innovation will increase significantly.
5. The quality of products and services increases when people work on computers and the increasing interdependence. One reason for the increase in quality is that workers are dependent on each other and their employees use their products and solutions. These workers are not to create a product and service in the pipeline and send an unknown client. This closer contact with users of our products / services leads to greater accountability and quality.
- Team work leads to increased employee satisfaction with their work environment and a general increase in morale. Studies have shown that increased morale leads to more positive conclusion, so to keep people happy makes sense.
